Engineering Science

Types of Science used in engineering:

1. Physics: Physics is the basis of many engineering principles, such as the laws of motion, Newton’s laws, and the principles of thermodynamics. This is very important in the design and analysis of mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems.
2. Chemistry: Chemistry is used in chemical engineering, materials, and environmental chemistry. Chemistry helps in materials development, production processes, and environmental monitoring.
3. Mathematics: Mathematics is a key tool in engineering. It is used for modeling, analysis, and problem solving in various branches of engineering, such as applied mathematics, statistics, and mathematical programming
4. Computer Science: Computer science is essential in software development, simulation, control programming, and numerical modeling used in various aspects of engineering.
5. Electronics: Electronics is an important part of electronic engineering, electro-optics and automatic control. It involves the principles of electronics, circuits, and electronic devices.
6. Materials Engineering: Materials science is fundamental in the development and selection of appropriate materials for engineering applications. This involves an understanding of material properties and material processing techniques.
7. Environmental Science: Environmental science is used in environmental engineering to understand the environmental impacts of engineering projects and to develop sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
8. Social and Economic Sciences: Social and economic engineering combines social and economic sciences with engineering to understand the social and economic impacts of engineering projects, as well as to integrate social and economic considerations in project planning and development.
9. Mechanical Science: Mechanical science is at the core of many aspects of engineering, especially in the design of machines, structures and mechanical systems.
